Moment in MISSIONS![]()
Muslims believe in the uniqueness of an all-powerful and supreme God. Similar to Christians and Jews, they believe that God is creative and eternal.
But Muslims also believe that God is unknowable, making a personal relationship with Him impossible. According to Islam, God holds himself apart from mankind; we need to pray that Muslims will have a full revelation of God’s character and desire for relationship. The Muslim worldview is strongly influenced by an awareness of the supernatural and the presence of good and evil spirits known as Jinn, which are greatly feared and often thought to be responsible for illnesses and misfortune. Superstition controls many aspects of Muslims’ everyday lives and results in great fearfulness. This fear reveals a felt need that can be met in the person and authority of Jesus as we pray against the fear that influences many Muslims (1 John 4:18).
We will be getting prayer guides for the month of Ramadan with daily readings that focus on various topics, people groups and geographical areas of the Islamic world. These will be available to be picked up at the church office next week.

MOMENT IN MISSIONS
Global - Praise God that all our international workers (IWs) are currently well and we have no reported COVID-19 cases. Weekly meetings are taking place with the Global Ministry Leadership Team to monitor all places where IWs are residing with frequent and direct connects with IWs to ensure they are well supported. As many countries are on full lock down with borders closed, personnel are responding in line with local authorities as well as following the resources provided by Member Care.
The overall posture of our global team is that they are home, in the places God has strategically placed them for such a time as this. Pray for all of our IWs as they navigate this time. Senegal - Praise God that many WhatsApp and text conversations are taking place. Pray with the Senegal team for hearts to be prepared and for the seeds of truth that have been planted in the past to come to mind. Pray for many Fulani and Wolof to come into relationship with Jesus in this season. Pray with our churches all over the world as they navigate how to celebrate Easter without being able to gather. Pray for wisdom, discernment, and patience for our pastors and people in leadership. MESSAGE - PASTOR DARREN DRIEDGERCLOSING SONG

PRAY FOR HAITI
Haiti now faces a looming pandemic with an almost non-existent public healthcare system, and with a dysfunctional political system rooted in neocolonial intervention. Dr. John A. Carroll, who has worked in clinics, hospitals, and orphanages in Haiti since 1995, explained, “There is no treatment in Haiti that will be accessible by the masses. But there is quarantine to stop transmission. But how do we isolate people in the Haitian slum where the population density is so high and people need to have human contact in order to survive?” PRAY FOR CHINA Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) has warned that the coronavirus pandemic may exacerbate the decline in religious liberty in China. CSW said that the level of religious freedom in China was "rapidly and significantly decreasing". Prisoners of conscience in the "dangerously overcrowded and unsanitary" 're-education camps' in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region are especially vulnerable to the virus, CSW warned. It estimates that between one and three million Uyghurs, Kazakhs and members of other predominantly Muslim ethnic groups are being held in the camps.
