MOMENT IN MISSIONS![]() Pray for: Our workers in Spain who reach out to North Africans, the Muslim diaspora in their area, and the Spanish locals they live and engage with every day. Pray that with communities opening up due to COVID-19 that many conversations will surface and bring forth much fruit. Pray the international workers will be filled with words from the Spirit full of courage and love. Pray the Muslim communities would have great courage as well to ask questions. Our workers in the Caribbean Sun region – At this time of year there is usually a fair bit of IW movement, some going and others finishing Home Assignment and heading back. COVID-19 had affected all those plans. Pray for wisdom for timing of both the goings and comings. Pray for the practical details of rental contracts and schooling that are affected in those timing decisions. Pray with Ace and Cecilia Cheung for a handful of new Touareg believers in northern Burkina Faso. Praise God for the local Burkinabe pastor’s cross-cultural ministry to the Touaregs and for how God is using a string of local and international believers to bring the Gospel to the Touaregs in their language. Pray for spiritual understanding, courage, and growth as they receive audio materials through WhatsApp. Pray for the workers in Central Asia that are reaching the “You” people as they are being interrogated after a list of people was revealed. Pray that they will be treated fairly and released soon. Also pray for the domino effect of these interrogations to be cut off so that others are not implicated. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Church Will Be Opening June 14th!
Working with the guidelines outlined by the province, we are planning to begin in-person Sunday morning services June 14. While we don't have answers to every question - and we will adapt as guidelines change - our plan is: We will host in-person Sunday morning services every other week. Because we can only have 1/3 of our average attendance in the building at a time, we will have 3 services on Sunday morning: 8:00-9:00, 9:30-10:30, and 11:00-12:00. (This might change as attendance numbers change.) An email survey will go out next week to help us determine potential numbers for these service options. Services will be around 1 hour. Guidelines require that children sit with their parents, no congregational singing is allowed, and everyone will need to maintain social-distancing (including seating arrangements). Services will include worship, prayer, announcements & missions moment, children's feature, sermon. We will continue to provide on-line services every Sunday morning as an option for you. Weekly Online Prayer Meeting Join us, Wednesday at 12pm (Noon) on the Vegreville Alliance Church Facebook page for an online prayer meeting. Click here to reach the Facebook page. WORSHIP

MOMENT IN MISSIONS
Trapped in a cycle of reincarnation that can only be broken by acts of worship and living a life of moral and ethical uprightness, Hindus strive to overcome their greatest fear: karma. Karma is the belief that one’s acts in this life will directly affect the state of the individual’s next life.
Hindus believe that their religion is the one eternal religion of the world. They worship over 300,000 deities, with Brahman being their supreme leader who reigns over the lesser gods and the entire universe. Every aspect of a Hindu’s life is influenced by these age-old beings and the traditions that have been upheld for thousands of years by their followers. Hinduism is growing more slowly than in the past, but it is still obtaining followers as people continuously search for life’s answers in religion. There are around 140,000 protestant missionaries ministering across the nations, but only about 2% of these serve Hindu people. Despite this, many Hindus are coming to Christ every year. Reports persist of Hindus from all castes coming to Jesus after hearing Bible stories they were able to relate to. In one instance an entire village turned to Christ after hearing His Word preached in their language! But leaving Hinduism often means persecution, even to death. New believers are considered threats to Hindu society and are relentlessly pursued, violently attacked, or shunned from the community. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 80% of the people of India are Hindu, and most are unreached by the gospel. Pray for Hindu people, that they would hear the truth of Jesus, and that he will set them free. MESSAGE - PASTOR DARREN DRIEDGERCOMMUNIONCLOSING SONG
