Tonight we gather in our homes and celebrate the arrival of Jesus. Thanks for including this church service in your celebrations.
There is something deeply spiritual about this evening. It is a hush that descends on us - where all the noise of shopping, organizing, wrapping, and worrying is set aside for the moment. It is the anticipation of hope, that God himself came down to earth to become one of us, and in so doing… saves us.
This Christmas will certainly look different! There are many get togethers, visits, and meals that just won’t happen. This year, it seems like our anticipation of what God will do is more heightened - our hearts need him more than ever before.
I invite you to open your hearts to God and allow Him to speak. Let’s celebrate together that Jesus arrived in our world, he is Immanuel - God with us - and he continues to arrive in our lives.
